Re-walking John Muir: A Trans-California Ramble
Peter and Donna Thomas had a great idea: retrace the steps of John Muir by walking the route he took when he walked from San Francisco to Yosemite in 1868. This website is both a travelog and an informational site about Muir, his life and his adventure. Becuase Peter and Donna are artists, inspiration for the template design was derived from Donna's lovely watercolor renditions of wildflowers found along this route. These images are included in the template, and the color scheme contains hues sampled from the paintings. Visitors can read John Muir's journal and letters from his trip, and compare with the experience of the Thomas' in their day by day account. Visit Site
