Bio of Julia van der Wyk
A native of California, Julia van der Wyk has been resident in Santa Cruz , California since 1988.
She graduated from the University of California in Santa Cruz in 1993 with a BA and Graduate Certificate in painting and printmaking and continues producing oil paintings, watercolors, etchings, woodcuts and lithographs.
Julia has worked in the photo industry since 1995, retouching professional wedding, family and senior portrait photos and restoring family treasures.
In 1999 she expanded her skills to include digital media.
Graphic and web design being a natural extension of her artistic background, van der Wyk Design was launched in 2004 and continues to offer full website design, template solutions for ecommerce and blogging, designs for printed brochures, business cards and logos, illustration and photo retouching, for businesses, professionals and individuals: bringing beauty and clarity to the internet.
